World Food Programme,Business Suport Assistant Jobs in Tanzania



Under the general supervision of the head of finance and administration the business support assistant (finance) will be responsible for the following duties
– Ensure that all delegated of authority in both county office and sub office are up to date and authoritative matrix is well maintained
– Response for vat thins include VAT records keeping, VAT claims follow up with TRA on all queries and ensure reconciliation is done on monthly basis
– Produce quarterly monthly reports on status

of invoice received in collaboration with spending units
– Provide assistance in travel processing position travel details in electronic system for travelling staff (SDA) and preparing payments of travelling agent
– Perform other duties as required
QUALIFICATION
EDUCATION
Completion of secondary school education, including or supplemented by the courses of finance, accounting budget audit, or other related field work

EXPERIENCE
At least 3 yrs of progressively responsible clearing work experience in general administrative work including at least 2 yrs field of finance

KNOWLEDGE
Experience in using computer, including word processing, spreadsheet and other WFP standard software packages and system. General knowledge of UN system financial policies, rules regulations and procedure
Fluent in both oral and written English and Kiswahili

– Helps teammate articulate WFP’s strategic objective
– Suggestion potential improvements to team work process to supervisor
– Explains the impacts of WFP activities in beneficiary communities to teammate
– Identify and adjust data discrepancies
– Takes responsibilities for own tasks and notifies supervisor as soon as possible of potential delay in meeting deadlines
– Suggest opportunities of partnering with other units to supervisor
– Develops an understanding of the value of WFP’s team and external partners in filling teams goals and objective.
