Our Clientis an FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) national distributor in Tanzania, with its operations mostly concentrated in Northern and Eastern Tanzania. The company was established in 1967. It’s a family run business in its 3rd generation and has grown ever since its humble beginnings to being a multi-divisional outfit today. It is also one of the largest, of the few well-organized distributors of FMCG products in the country and has traditionally been a preferred distribution partner for various manufacturers within Tanzania.  They are currently looking to hire a dynamics Sales Team Leader – under its Plastics Manufacturing unit.

Job Title: Sales Team Leader


Job Summary
Guide the team that is charged with a product line contribution as a business unit. This extends from increasing the profitability of existing products to developing new productsfor the company.

Job Location: Arusha, Tanzania

Type of Hire:  Tanzanian (preferred) or Kenyan National

Job Description:
· Should monitor the sales team and encourage sales by being a team player
· Should monitor sales per product and work an achievement of sales budgets
· Should monitor and increase presence of the products across all regions where feasible and possible
· Develop new customers and products which will add value to the company in line with its strategy.
· Collect direct orders from large customers/ co-ordinate delivery for all other sales team leads.
· Achieve targets for revenue, profitability and sales growth – increasing market share within the stipulated margins by company directors.
· Developing and implementing a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute.

Desired Skills& Experience:
· Bachelors Degree in BA / Marketing
· 6+ years of Sales/Marketing within Plastics Manufacturing Industry
· Knowledge & experience in blow moulding & Injection moulding.
· Ability to travel to customer and non-customer sites
· Demonstrated success in defining and launching successful products.
· Fluent in English (reading/understanding, spoken, written)
· Exceptional organizational and analytical skills
· Good communication and presentation skills - both verbal and written
· Active listening - ability to understand requirements
· A high attention to detail
· Proactive problem solver
· Client focused
· Deadline driven (Time management)
· Self-motivated
